Custom Helmet Artwork

Every helmet we paint is a unique, fully custom-made piece of artwork. Because every project requires time, preparation and personal attention, we currently work with a waiting list.

Below you can find all the important information about our process, planning, payments and your helmet.

 

How the Process Works

1. Contact & Design

After you contact us, we discuss your ideas, wishes and the possibilities for your helmet.

Once we have agreed on the project, a  deposit is required to secure your place on our waiting list.

After the deposit has been received, your project is added to the waiting list and we can start working on an initial example or sketch based on your ideas.

2. Waiting List

Due to the number of custom helmet projects we currently receive, we work with a waiting list.

​

The €100 deposit reserves your place on the waiting list and allows us to start preparing your project.

The deposit is deducted from the final invoice.

​

We will always do our best to give you an indication of when your helmet can be scheduled. Please understand that exact timing can vary depending on the projects ahead of you and the complexity of each helmet.

Our waiting list is there to make sure that every customer receives the time and attention their project deserves.

3. Design Approval & Painting Process

Before we start painting, we will provide you with an example/sketch of the proposed design.

​

Together with you as the customer, we discuss all your wishes: the style, color choices, glitter or chrome elements, painted spoilers and air intakes, the choice of a gloss, matte, or combined clear coat finish, and any logos you may want.

​

Once the design has been approved, we can proceed with the project.

Small adjustments can still be made during the painting process where necessary.

​

During the painting process, we stay in constant contact with the customer. We will regularly share updates, photos and progress so you can follow your helmet as it comes to life.

Our goal is for you to be involved in the process and know exactly how your project is progressing.

​

To achieve the desired result, many working hours are required, including preparation, degreasing, sanding, painting, and reassembly. To carry out all these steps properly, a timeframe of approximately 2 to 3 weeks is needed.

Communication & Planning

Good communication is an important part of the process.

Because we reserve time and materials for every project, we ask our customers to remain available and respond to messages when necessary.

​

If we do not receive any response from you for a period of 3 months, we consider the project cancelled and your €100 deposit will be forfeited. This allows us to keep the waiting list fair and prevents reserved places from remaining occupied indefinitely.

​

If you decide to cancel the project yourself, the €100 deposit is also non-refundable.

​

We have introduced this system because in the past, customers sometimes stopped responding after their project had been discussed or scheduled. This made it difficult to plan our work and resulted in unnecessary waiting times for other customers.

​

Our goal is to make sure that nobody has to wait longer than necessary.

​

Delivering Your Helmet

You can bring your helmet to our workshop in person or send it to us.

The helmet should be delivered clean and, most importantly, free of grease and oil.

​

All accessories that need to be removed before painting will be professionally removed by us. After the artwork is completed, we will also professionally reinstall the accessories.

​

Existing Damage

Small existing scratches or other minor damage can sometimes be repaired before painting.

Please always discuss any existing damage with us before the project starts. Depending on the type and severity of the damage, additional repair work may be required.

Safety

A helmet’s ultimate purpose is always safety.

To ensure this, we work exclusively on professional racing helmets, including brands such as Arai, Bell, Stilo, and Zamp.

All racing helmets are airbrushed only with paints specifically intended for this purpose and in full compliance with the strict FIA and KNAF regulations.

Pricing

At the moment, we work with a fixed price of €650 excl. VAT per helmet.

This is an all-in price, regardless of the design, level of detail or the number of colours used.

Logos, names, race numbers and other personal details are also included in this price.

As a growing helmet painter, I want to continue developing my skills and build my experience by taking on challenging and creative designs. This fixed pricing gives me the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while giving customers the freedom to create something truly unique without having to worry about the design becoming more expensive because it is more complex.

€650 excl. VAT — fixed all-in price per helmet.

Helmet Spoilers

We also offer unpainted helmet spoilers for €70.

If you would like your spoiler to match your helmet, we can paint it in the same colour scheme for an additional €50.

This means a complete painted spoiler costs €120 excl. VAT.

​

Any specific requirements regarding the spoiler or its fitment can be discussed before the project starts.

​

Payment

A €100 deposit is required to secure your place on the waiting list.

The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.

​

The remaining balance can be paid by:

• Bank transfer

• Cash when collecting the completed helmet

The completed helmet will only be handed over once the full outstanding amount has been paid.

​

Collection & Shipping

Once your helmet is completed, we will contact you to arrange collection or shipping.

You can collect your helmet from our workshop, or we can arrange shipping.

​

Shipping costs are not included in the €650 price and will be charged separately.

If you would like your helmet shipped, please discuss this with us in advance so we can arrange suitable packaging and shipping.
